The Bureau of Humane Law Enforcement is a non-governmental, non-profit, California
Public Benefit Corporation, devoted to defending all animals to the full extent
of the law. We train our Humane Officers and investigators in effective enforcement
of California Animal Laws. The BHLE also assists local humane societies and state
agencies. We provide legal assistance and expertise to state and local prosecutors
in bringing animal abusers to justice, and provide literature and seminars to
educate the public regarding animal law.
