The Bureau of Humane Law Enforcement is a California-based organization devoted to defending all animals to the full extent of the law. We train our Humane Officers and investigators in effective enforcement of California Animal Law. The BHLE also assists local humane societies and state agencies in their enforcement of California Animal Law. We provide legal assistance and expertise to state and local prosecutors in bringing animal abusers to justice, and provide literature and seminars to educate the public regarding animal law.

Under the direction of persons with years of experience in animal cruelty investigations and legal experts in the field of animal law, and backed by members who take the welfare of animals seriously, the BHLE enforces California Animal Law to protect all California animals.
